Latest Northern Ireland Housing Bulletin is Published

The latest Northern Ireland Housing Bulletin has been published by the DSD. Covering April – June 2014, it contains statistics on homelessness, the Residential Property Price Index and new National House Building Council (NHBC) registered dwellings sales and prices.
Key facts from the latest statistics include
- 4,895 households presented as homeless to the Northern Ireland Housing Executive. An increase of 3% on the previous quarter.
- Family dispute or sharing breakdown was cited as the most common cause (907 presenters)
- 2221 households were accepted by the NIHE as full duty applicants for the quarter. This was a decrease of 9% on the previous quarter.
- 28% of full duty applicants cited their accommodation was not reasonable.
- House prices rose 1% on the previous quarter.
