Practitioner help: Spotlight on repossession

Normal service is resuming at the courts as we ease out of Covid-19 restrictions. More and more people are contacting us for help with mortgage and rent arrears. It's important that you have the tools to help clients facing eviction or repossession.

Our next Housing Advice Practitioners' Forum on 25 November will focus on

  • repossession procedures, and
  • the late stages of possession action.

An officer from the Enforcement of Judgments Office will explain what your clients can expect if their case gets to the enforcement stage.

Our expert debt advisers will explain how advice can help to save homes. We'll tell you about our debt services and our at-court service for people who need help on the day of their hearing.

Housing Advice Practitioners’ Forum

The Housing Advice Practitioners' Forum meets 3 times a year.

It's a chance for members of Housing Rights to

  • hear experts talk about specific topics of interest
  • share things we've learned and get help with complex cases
  • discuss local issues
  • network with other housing and advice professionals

Book your place at our next meeting

Our next meeting will be held online from 2:00-4:00 pm on Thursday 25 November.

We'd love you to be there.

Contact Faith, our Practitioner Support Officer to find out how to join.
