Updates on the agenda at the next Practitioners’ Forum

The next Housing Advice Practitioners’ Forum will take place online on Wednesday, March 30. The webinar starts at 2:00 pm and will include a presentation from the Northern Ireland Housing Executive.

Keeping our members updated on the latest information on housing legislation, policy and practice is an important aspect of Housing Rights' work.

The upcoming forum will open with Northern Ireland Housing Executive providing information on the updates and changes to discretionary housing payments, and attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions.

Other points of discussion during this session will include:

  • ways to help private tenants who are struggling to access and sustain tenancies
  • how former homes are dealt with by universal credit
  • updates to welfare supplementary payments
  • update on the Private Tenancies Bill

As always, members will have the opportunity to discuss client issues with Housing Rights specialist advisers.

Housing Advice Practitioners’ Forum

The Housing Advice Practitioners’ Forum is open to Housing Rights members and meets three times a year.  Attendees have an opportunity to:

  • share learning and experiences
  • hear updates on topics of interest from external organisations and from Housing Rights specialist advisers
  • and network with others in the housing sector

The next Housing Advice Practitioners’ Forum will take place online on Wednesday, March 30 2-4pm.  Register today.

The forum is a member only event.  Further information on becoming a member is available on our website, or by contacting Noeleen.
