This informal training course running over 2 full day sessions (Tuesday 20th April and Tuesday 27th April) will develop the skills and knowledge of anyone involved in the design and delivery of training events and/or presentations.

During this hands on session, participants will have the opportunity to apply what they have learnt by preparing and delivering a short presentation.

This format concentrates on key themes that will enable participants to obtain an accreditation with OCN which enhances their skills and knowledge necessary to provide comprehensive housing advice.

Attendees will gain a level 3 accreditation.

OUTCOME OF COURSE:

  • Describe how to plan and structure a training event
  • Develop techniques to facilitate and motivate adult learners
  • Identify appropriate training methods and resources
  • Increase understanding of online resources including Zoom & Microsoft Teams
  • Manage group dynamics
  • Use techniques to successfully end and evaluate a training session
  • Develop and practice own training skills
