72 Housing Executive bungalows transferred to Oaklee Homes Group

Social Development Minister Nelson McCausland MLA has announced the second pilot stock transfer scheme in Northern Ireland.

Following extensive consultation, Bloomfield tenants voted overwhelmingly in favour of the transfer of their Housing Executive homes to the Oaklee Homes Group. The move will see a £3.2million investment by Oaklee on improving tenants’ homes which will include new kitchens and bathrooms, double glazing, gas-fired central heating and cavity wall insulation.
Minister McCausland commented: “This is very welcome news for the tenants at Bloomfield who I know were very much in favour of this move. I hope that following a short period of disruption, all the tenants will enjoy their much improved homes.”
