Kate McCauley selected for Emerging Leaders Programme

Housing Rights is delighted to announce that our Policy & Practice Manager, Kate McCauley, has been selected as one of sixteen professionals working within housing, homelessness and health organisations across the UK to join a new ‘Emerging Leaders’ programme.

The programme, ran jointly by Clore Social Leadership and the Centre for Homelessness Impact, has been developed in response to the increasing crisis in Housing and Homelessness and the need for stronger, evidence-based approach to leadership within the sector.

Speaking about her participation Kate said;

“I am really delighted to have the opportunity to be part of this fantastic initiative. At Housing Rights we know that prevention is the best cure for homelessness and I feel that it has never been more important for those of us working in the sector to develop robust, evidence based solutions which deliver tangible change on the ground for those who need it most. The other emerging leaders taking part in the programme bring a wealth of experience from across the UK and I look forward to sharing this experience with them and being part of a network of leaders working to achieve change in our sector.”

Supported with funding from the National Housing Federation, Health Foundation, Oak Foundation, this new partnership will see sixteen dynamic leaders working within housing, homelessness and health organisations across the UK benefit from intensive leadership training and development. The programme will build a community of third sector leaders committed to driving large-scale systemic reform within the sector.
