Housing Rights Service welcomes new Minister for Social Development
Housing Rights Service welcomes the appointment of Mervyn Storey as the new minister for the Department of Social Development.
Mr Storey is the MLA Assembly Member for North Antrim. He previously served as the Chair of the Education Committee until he was appointed as Minister for Social Development in September 2014. In taking over this role from Nelson McCausland, his responsibilities will include housing, social security benefits, pensions, child support and urban regeneration.
During the Minister’s visit he met with staff who provide a valuable service to people experiencing housing problems and people who have availed of our service.
