When everyone has a home

028 9024 5640: Housing & Debt Helpline for Northern Ireland

Free advice for people worried about paying their mortgage.

January is traditionally a busy time of year for our debt services and this year looks to be no different.  We're keen to encourage any one who is having difficulties paying their mortgage to speak to our mortgage debt advisers and to start taking action to save their homes.

We know that many people in Northern Ireland are struggling with debt and will often put off dealing with it until after Christmas.   We want to let people know that free advice and assistance is available and the earlier they seek help the more options they will have.

Free advice and representation

Our mortgage debt advice service is funded by the Department for Social Development.  Last year we helped over 1600 families who had fallen behind on mortgage payments and were worried that they could lose their homes as a result.  We can talk to people in this situation, explain the options available, negotiate with their lender and represent them in court if the lender attempts to repossess the property.

Living with threat of losing your home is extremely stressful. Our specialist debt advisers can help people figure out a way forward that is right for them. All our services are absolutely free and it really is never too late to seek advice.

How to contact us

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to get in touch with us.  You can get in touch with us between 09.00 and 17.00 Monday to Friday and between 09.00 and 20.00 Tuesdays and Thursdays by using any of the following options
