Overview

Our level 3 accredited Financial Capability Training provides a practical guide to current financial capability issues, allowing attendees to consider how they can help clients be more financially aware and empower them to develop budgeting skills and sustain their tenancies.

The course examines the causes and nature of debt and links this to practical measures for resolving issues around financial capability.

  • The meaning of financial capabilty
  • Leading causes of debt in NI
  • Vulnerable clients
  • The issue of 'can't pay versus won't pay'
  • Types of debt; priority and non-priority
  • Compiling financial statements
  • Devising manageable budgets and payment plans
  • Empowering clients to manage their budget and sustain their home

Accreditation costs

This course is accredited at OCN Level 3. In order to gain the accreditation, participants must complete and submit a portfolio of exercises. There is an additional charge of £50.00 per person to cover the cost of accreditation.
