This course aims to increase understanding of the processes required to get an adaptation within your home.  The session will cover different areas of housing – social rented, private rented and owner occupier and will discuss the steps followed, depending on the type of adaptation required.  It will also cover the different grants available to private rented tenants and home owners for certain adaptations

Course objectives

By the end of this session, you will have a better understanding of the adaptations process and be better equipped to advise clients on ‘next steps’.

Who should attend?

This course will help advisers, community groups, residents groups and people working with elderly or disabled clients who wish to assist their clients in applying for adaptations or challenging decisions relating to adaptations or grant funding.
