“The HATP is a core training programme that all Floating Support Workers in MACS complete, it gives staff an in-depth knowledge and understanding on all areas related to supporting young people in a housing related field. It has given my team a sense of confidence to support young people in very difficult situations, we often work with very trauma experienced complex young people who do not always know their rights and their entitlements; having completed this course with Housing Rights the team have a comfortable basis of knowledge to help them make sure the young person receives what they are entitled too. There are also bespoke follow-on courses that enhance the learning from the HATP.
“The trainers are extremely approachable, and their wisdom and knowledge of Housing is outstanding, they go above and beyond and are always easy to contact if you need a bit of extra help or advice or want bespoke training set up.
Housing Rights are always my first check for training and the impact of the training on the team is that that are able to support young people and empower changes.”
