Training Courses
Online
Tuesday, March 8, 2022 - 10:00 to 13:00

As welfare reform and changes to the Social Fund have taken effect, Housing Rights has found that affordability is consistently one of the top issues encountered by clients. Nevin Economic Research Institute (NERI) has also found that those living in both the social and private rented sectors are at risk of poverty after housing costs are met. This is particularly the case for low-income households in the private rented sector, who face a particularly high housing cost burden and a high risk of poverty.

Who should attend this housing training course?

  • social housing sector,
  • private landlords and agents
  • advice agencies who regularly deal with housing queries.

Outcome of the housing training course:

By the end of this course, you will understand the various forms of discretionary support, financial assistance and charitable support that is available, in the interests of alleviating poverty and promoting greater security of tenure.
