How we do it...
Services
We offer help and support to members of the public and to other housing and advice professionals.
Funding
The funding that allows us to offer our services comes from a variety of places. Our core services are funded by the Housing Division within the Department for Communities. We also get financial support to carry out specific projects from a number of other funders.
Donations and products
We are able to provide lots of our services because we receive funding. However, we also have to raise money through providing and selling training courses, seminars and information products and from public and corporate donations. If you'd like to support our work and make sure we can continue to provide advice and assistance to people in housing need you can make a donation.
Safeguarding
We are committed to making sure the people who use and deliver our services are safe and cared for. Our safeguarding statement sets out what you can expect from us if you work or volunteer with us, or use our services.
Who does what...
Board of Directors
The overall strategic direction of Housing Rights is monitored by our Board of Directors. The board is responsible for our overall financial health, legal standing and making decisions on the organisation's direction. The day to day running of the organisation is monitored by the Management Team.
Our team
There are a number of teams within Housing Rights: Advice, Training, Information, Policy, and Business Support. Each team has a manager who sits on the management team and is responsible for monitoring his or her team's work and dealing with staff and client concerns. Our management team monitors the organisation's day to day business and keeps an eye on how we are performing. Janet Hunter has been the Director of Housing Rights since 1994.
