Private Tenants Forum responds to review of rates liability

The Private Tenants Forum, a group of tenants in private rented accommodation who have come together to campaign for better conditions, has responded to the Department of Finance & Personnel's recent consultation on a review of rates liability in the landlord sector.

The consultation proposes simplifying the legislative provisions which regulate rating liability in the private rented sector.  A representative from the Private Tenants Forum accompanied Housing Rights Service recently to provide evidence to the Committee for Finance and Personnel on this issue.  You can access the Minutes of Evidence from that Committee session on the NI Assembly website
